Skin Cell Engineering

Delivery System
Nano Microspheres
Swiss Plants

The study of dermatopathologists is to understand the mechanism for skin cell metabolism. Our product's goal is to faciliate this process thereby enabling optimal metabolism of the living skin cell layers.

The principle of our formulations rests on the following skincare theories

NANO MICROSPHERES

Microsphere are biomimetic nanoparticles (~200nm) made of modified starch, fatty acid and phospholipids copying the structure of the skin cell corneocyte. Microspheres have the ability to entrap active ingredients, vitamins, trace elements and enymes to penetrate within the living layers of the skin. Microspheres are proven to enhance the stability, penetration and bioavailability of bio-actives, hence allowing them to be more effective in carrying out cell repair.

ENERGY

Aside from nutrients, cells also need sufficient energy to do its work. Some of our ingredients such as PEPHA®-CTIVE are shown to enhance the ATP-levels of humanfibroblasts. It repairs cell mitochrondia to achieve a successful transformation of oxygen into energy.

FLORAL BIO-ACTIVES

We offer a full range of high performing ECOCERT, NATRUE and COSMOS certified floral bioactives cultivated in the Swiss mountains. The application of these high alpine flowers are proven to calm and sooth the skin, reducing stress markers, balancing and alkalinizing intercellular fluid. To withstand increased solar radiation, high temperature differences and low atmospheric pressure, mountain plants have had to modify their physiology and increase their production of the secondary metabolites which constitute the true active agents of our cosmetic products.

ENZYMES

Enzymes are an indispensable part of cell metabolism yet they are unstable in nature. Once applied, even nano-sized enzymes will react with the moisture and heat of the skin layers, becoming a peeling agent instead.

Our skincare addresses this with the nano microsphere technology, enzymes are entrapped in a protective phospholipid shell and are released into the Stratum Corneum and deeper epidermal layers over an 8-10 hour period.

PEPTIDES

Proteins govern many of the body's important processes, especially when it comes to the skin. They can inhibit or induce responses by binding to proteins in a lock and key fashion. The smaller the peptide, the more likely it will penetrate the skin and have a visible effect. Microgen Skinlab uses very small but potent tri- and tetrapeptides. The peptides we use are designed to trigger specific protein-controlled mechanisms thereby spurring collagen synthesis.
